These books have visible stitching along their spines. some are simple Coptic bindings, others combine Coptic, french-link and other decorative stitches, some are sewn on to decorative ribbons, and/or have elastic loop closures this form of binding particularly lends itself for use as a sketch book as the books open completely flat with no rise at the spine.

This book is sewn with dark blue contrasting thread using a Coptic stitch. This book has an added feature, the central stitch on the front cover has a set of coordinating coloured beads and a silver coloured metal heart filigree charm adding a luxury touch. The journal has 80 pages of 100gsm quality cartridge paper, this has a lovely soft texture. The pages are blank, due to the nature of the binding this book opens entirely flat, which in conjunction with the soft texture of the page paper, makes it particularly good for sketching or mind mapping as well as writing. The boards are made from recycled material and covered with a beautiful handmade paper from India made with recycled cotton in blue with a lace daisy floral pattern in white. The book has a coordinating blue inside cover.
