Photo Album Workshop

12.30pm - 4.40pm 

This is a fun and unusual binding, it is technically called a Reverse Australian Piano Hinge Binding but that will not help you to decide whether this one is for you.  It is a simple 'No-Sew' book made with a hard cover and a concertina shaped spine. The individual pages can be removed and replaced once it is complete, giving you flexibility and there are various design/pattern choices available to create individuality. You will learn to measure and cover your hard covers, create clean precise folds, and the importance of paper grain. You will use a range of traditional tools, including sharp blades. Many of the skills learnt here are transferable to other paper crafts.

There is a maximum of 8 students for this workshop, guaranteeing time and space for individual attention if extra help is needed. The atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and chatty, with a break for tea and cake.  (If you have special dietary needs please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.)

The workshop is held at Westridge Studios, Star Lane, Highclere, RG20 9QS      The room we use is on the first floor, there is no lift, so access is by a flight of stairs.

This workshop is for over 18's; if you are under 18 please ask an appropriate adult to contact me to discuss.

Participants must have good grip, and normal strength in both hands as we will be using several very sharp knives. This is for your own safety. If this or the first floor nature of this course is a problem for you please get in touch as a 1:1 class in your home may be more appropriate and can be arranged.
